When exploring church websites, I often seek signs of welcome, but too frequently encounter barriers and language that make it hard to feel a sense of belonging. Here, however, you will find a community that embraces deep expressions of faith, reflecting the vibrant fabric of our congregation. This is a place where everyone, including students, is on a shared journey of growth and learning, creating an environment that truly feels like home.
Over the past five years, Becky and I have learned to remain open to new opportunities. After meaningful conversations and deep prayer, we felt called to lead a community that prioritizes relationship over religion, inviting everyone to share in the abundance of The Father's Table. My deepest desire is for our journey to be one of continuous discovery, following Jesus with enthusiasm and hope. I warmly invite you to join us as we navigate this path of faith together.
Pleasant Grove may not be flawless, but we are committed to serving a God who embodies perfect grace.
Pastor Timothy Coman
Who are "The Coman's?" Well, we're just like you—on a journey toward perfection in love, filled with hope, life, struggles, and plenty of mercy and grace. This year, Becky and I will mark a decade of marriage, and if you haven't noticed yet, we truly enjoy having fun. We love to be silly, share jokes, laugh, and cheer (or sometimes yell) for the Dallas Cowboys. Proud Native Texans, we also feel right at home in Kentucky. Becky is a dedicated educator with a Master's in Education from The University of Texas, while I’m currently studying Pastoral Studies at Truett Seminary, an extension of Baylor University, and I serve as an Ordained Elder in The Congregational Methodist Denomination.
Grace embodies the unconditional love and blessings from God, given freely to everyone, regardless of their worthiness. This invaluable gift includes forgiveness, the chance for reconciliation, and the hope of eternal life.
Grace opens pathways to a deeper connection with the Father, dismantles obstacles, brings people together, and transforms lives. However, it also calls for personal responsibility, urging us to recognize our shortcomings, embrace God's gift, and be open to change.
